Convertfyl (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data when you use our website and tools at convertfyl.com.

2. File Processing

The majority of our PDF tools run entirely client-side using WebAssembly-based libraries (pdf-lib, pdfjs-dist, tesseract.js). When you use these tools:

  • Your files are processed in your browser using JavaScript.
  • Files are never uploaded to our servers.
  • No copy of your document is retained by Convertfyl.

Some advanced features (compression, office format conversion, PDF/A conversion) use CloudConvert’s API. For these operations:

  • Files are transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection.
  • CloudConvert processes the file and returns the result.
  • Files are automatically deleted from CloudConvert’s servers after processing.

3. Information We Collect

We collect minimal information:

  • Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns. This includes anonymized page views, device type, and general location data. No personally identifiable information is collected.
  • Cookies: Google Analytics uses cookies. You can opt out via your browser settings.

4. Third-Party Services

Convertfyl uses the following third-party services:

  • Google Analytics — anonymized site usage tracking.
  • CloudConvert — server-side file conversion (files not permanently stored).
  • OpenAI — AI summarization and translation (text content only, not files).
  • Vercel — hosting and CDN.

5. Data Retention

We do not store, retain, or archive any user files, documents, or uploaded content. Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics’s standard data retention policy (currently 14 months).

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Use all tools without providing personal information.
  • Opt out of analytics cookies via your browser settings.
  • Request information about any data we may hold about you.
