Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Convertfyl (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Convertfyl provides free online PDF and document conversion tools. The Service offers both client-side processing (files remain in your browser) and server-side processing via third-party APIs for advanced operations. Convertfyl does not store, retain, or distribute any files uploaded or generated through the Service.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree not to:

  • Upload or process files that violate any applicable law or regulation.
  • Use the Service to infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others.
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or compromise the Service’s infrastructure.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any aspect of the Service.
  • Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service without express permission.

4. Intellectual Property

The Convertfyl name, logo, and site design are trademarks of Convertfyl. The software libraries used to power the tools (pdf-lib, pdfjs-dist, and others) are open-source and used under their respective licenses. User- uploaded content remains the property of the user.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranty, express or implied. Convertfyl does not guarantee that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
  • Output files will be suitable for any specific purpose.
  • Client-side processing is compatible with all browsers or devices.

6. Limitation of Liability

Convertfyl shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to the use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of data, loss of revenue, or damage to files.

7. Third-Party Services

Certain features rely on third-party services (CloudConvert, OpenAI). Your use of these features is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. Convertfyl is not responsible for the operation, availability, or security of third-party services.

8. Modifications

Convertfyl reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

9. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
